Family, passion, quality: the DASK approach
As a quantity surveyor David Clarke always had a passion for historical architecture, with a particular love for the joinery used in period properties. So when, forty years ago, the opportunity arose to purchase a small joinery company in Banbridge, Co Down, David and his wife Alison took the gamble of their lives, bought the company, and soon after DASK Timber opened its doors.
Named after the Clarke family – David, Alison, Stephen and Kerry – we are still very much a family enterprise, with Stephen joining his parents in the business 25 years ago. We’ve also been able to expand: we now employ 22 skilled craftsmen and have built a 27,000 sq ft purpose-made premises, with state-of-the-art CNC production equipment.
