Traditional design with modern standards

The client wanted everything in their home to fit with traditional proportions and design, but didn’t want to compromise on contemporary comfort.

The windows, traditional doors, and continuous handrail curved stairs were all constructed in painted hardwood. To ensure the integrity of the build, we specially made the sliding sash windows as double glazed but to have the appearance of a traditional single glaze; lead weights and brass pulley wheels add the period finishing touches.

The best available materials have been used throughout the house and the windows, doors, and joinery were no exception. Specified by the architect, designed and made to order by DASK Timber, they complement the house perfectly.
